What wet cutter do you use? i have been using the plasplugs master for ceramics....has worked well upto now but really want to get something a lot better (£200-£350) any recomendations...i have been using an angle grinder for porcalain jobs etc but find that the cut aint always so neat.

So what do you use??

You've got tooooo much money to burn Toby,i'm using the plasplugs pro tiler at the moment,great wee machine with very few splashes.

Yeah Wivers uses that, reckons it's pretty good for small domestics and stuff......but then what does he know??

instead of splashing all that cash on the cutter put a decent blade in your grinder and wetsaw!! see tradetiler!!

Thats only because you had grout in your eye instead of on the tiles.......nice legs though mate

I use the plasplugs pro aswell, does me fine for the sort of work i get, ain't replacing it till i have to, would need another one if I started getting lots of natural stone work, but for what i do now it's ideal

i agree varley!! say you were fitting granite/ stone every week id advise u to get a top notch rail cutter but if its only now and again the wickes wetsaw will do the job nicely!! and the plasplugs is perfect for indoor domestic work!!

I do currently use the plasplugs master and to be fair it has done a blinding job, i have had a lot of porcalian jobs as well as domestic ceramics.........trouble is it's not the most portable and takes up a lot of room in a small bathroom or kitchen. So i was gonna buy the briccolina but at £120 i thought it a bit much as i new if i get another big porcalain job that it would be hard work with such a small cutting surface. so i thought i would just put the extra money to it and get myself a nice rail cutter.

But seeing as you all say the pro is perfect for small ceramic jobs i think i will pick one of these up..............sod it, i will also get a good rail cutter anyway.

Kap what would you reccomend here mate? what you got?

Nice big bridge saw,QEP yellow cutter £175 @ trade will cut up to 750mm long,and angles over for mitreing(bit bulky though).Baby version of same cutter £99 will cut up to 550mm(very portable)A great portable cutter is the 'D' cut machine from us,£160 has a sliding bearing table(very portable)as good as if not better than the plasplugs master tiler which I used for last 4 years of my career.:)

Cheers for that Gaz, the D machine sounds good but seems a bit pricey if it's only as good as the master which costs £80. Will go and cheque it out though mate.

Are the other 2 you mentioned available at topps mate??
