Highlander - what did you use before this?

(as Dave says, a review would be great after you've had chance to get accustomed!)

Had the Rubi DW200 good cutter but fancid this after reading up on it. Am doing more restoration work and starting to do more Geometrics so good machine for the job.

Will post a review once I have used it.

A review will be interesting as I bought my DW250n instead of one of these. Did I make a mistake, I wonder?

A brief summary of my thoughts on my DW250n. Very heavy piece of kit, though I can get it in and out of my car by myself. Motor is powerful and quiet. The water pump throws out enough water to rival the Monsoon and can make a mess if precautions are not taken.

Biggest issue I have though is the fact that it does not cut straight. I have not yet figured out what the problem is, whether it is the Marcrist blade I am using or some inital setting up that is the problem. Having reset my guide bar twice, I am certain that it is square. My feeling is it is a blade problem. The further down the cut I go, there is increasing sideways tension on the blade.

Yep, I need to try the original standard blade to see if it is better. Might have to save up for a CPC2 blade if the Marcrist is the problem. David at TT suggested dressing the blade first so I will try that as well.

I don't want to teach Granny to suck eggs but I thought I'd mention it:
The power of a bridge saw often lets you rip through a cut really quickly, but I've been told so many times that speedy cuts are often banana cuts.
Have you tried cutting slowly and does it still bend?
