I started a thread about this a few weeks back after seeing that it could be useful in some ways. I think the general opinion was that it wasnt really up to the job.
Then a few days later my dad (who is also a tiler) said that he had bought one. So i got a chance to try it out.
Well i tried it on a tile (ceramic) and it cut nice and neat. I hooked the vaccumm port up and no dust was produced by cutting (very useful for removing grout).
I Cut a glass tile with same results. The only issues i have is that its a 240v and i work sites so all my kit is 110v.
The other minor quibble would be the guard that covers the blade is a little stiff to use but this may bed in with use.
Talk to Highlander and i believe ChrisRoe uses one for his Karndean flooring.

I have seen worse tools on the market and if i was feeling frivolous then i would buy one but as i already have a Fein I cant see it being used much. I checked on Ebay and the blades for the Exact were better priced than the Fein.
I do feel that the Fein is more versatile and can do everything the Exact can and more. There will be lots of things the Exact cant do that the Fein can do.
Where i thing the Exact would win is Grout removal with the vaccumm which is great.

Mine didnt and its an extra item to buy.
I cant see it being as effective anyway, as the Exactsaw dust collection is totally enclosed.

Very handy bit of kit to have. You can get the blades direct from Exact and if you buy them in packs of ten they work out cheaper. Great for plunge cuts handy for Grout removal however harder to control and more damage can be done on narrow grout joints.

its ok and yes its a cheap tool to run funny enough ive never tried it on tiles i use it for cutting ply and the guard is very stiff even with wd on it

ive also got a fein and although the blades are expensive it is very good

    saying that

ive got an undercut saw from axminster for acratrives etc and that is a lot easier than a fein

    so horses for courses
