Hand Held Tile SAW?
Hi There
Does anyone know of any deceant Electric hand held tile saws not the small makita one but something with a bit of power in it?
I currently use a grinder with expensive diamond disk but would like something hand held that I can use inside without worrying about creating a load of dust.
Thanks

Cheers, that looks the kit, can use it inside and its hand held, handier for setting up and think I get better control of my cuts when useing hand held cutter, it need a thinner blade for tiles than stone id imagine.

Felker is the USA branding name for Husqvarna mate, try searching for Husqvarna instead you may have more luck

Re: Hand Held Tile SAW?
Kev do you have to attach a pump and water bucket to the saw or how is water drawn in?
I take it you carry the cutting out over a tray to catch the water?
It should be handier and tidier than a wet saw spraying everywhere.
cheers

Slightly different mate. I made a water feed out of a garden spray pump it took me about an hour and saved me about £50. I have a hand polisher as well from makita with water feed both feeds are controlled with a tap on the machine. Try and remember water doesn't bother me because I always have a wet vac on site. But yes you could easily adapt a tray for it
What i will say is I use mine for large grout removal jobs as well so it has two uses and naturally a wet cutter couldn't do grout removal but the saw does both. I suppose what i am trying to say is the Makita is a lot of money and you need to get use out of it. Bear in mind the same money will buy a top quality portable wet saw as well.

Re: Hand Held Tile SAW?
PS I forgot to say don't forget you have to buy/make a water feed about £20 and you also need a110v transformer so you need to calculate those costs in as well
