Default Do you have a generator ?

If so...
1, What make ?
2, what power output does it give you?
3, What is the largest power tool you run with it ?
4, Would you recommend the generator ?

The reason i ask is that my small generator would just about power my angle grinder, Fein or Plasplugs wet cutter, But obviously not my Rubi DW250N.
So at the weekend i saw a Generator local on Ebay. It was a a non runner but i thought i could get it going so i made a silly bid and won.
When i collected it i found it was much larger than i expected, very heavy but it did have electric start.
Got home and starter motor wouldnt turn....so took it apart and found bushes sticking...sorted at no cost, just spare time.
No Spark !!!! sorted HT lead not connecting very well to plug cap...Now i had a spark.
Still no start ??? carb dismantled and main jet was clogged due to the item not having any use for a few years.
Having spent about 3 hours tinkering i hooked a car battery up to the leads and turned the key.........Instant start although a little rough...i but that down to not having run for a while. It soon settled down and ran well.
I tried the outputs and they all were good.
Today it has been running the Rubi and Paddle Mixer all day with no problems. I just wish it were lighter, thankfully it does have wheels.
So my original question is due to the fact that soon i would like to replace this one with a lighter but equally powerful one. This kicks out about 3.5KW...plenty for me.

Dave this one is HEAVY ( i mean really heavy) Now i am 6ft 1 and 16 stone but even i say its heavy.
But great due to the cost, plenty of power and electric start. If i had a trailer or big van it would be ok.
Could be interested in yours but distance wouldnt make it worth while.

Mine is a Honda GX390 13HP It gives a power output of 10 KVA and runs on Petrol and Gas and is electric or pull start. All Hondas are brilliant, sell really well second hand and easy to get bits for. I struggled to find one. I would deffo recommend it or any Honda. Mine has 2 x 110V Sockets a 12V Socket and 2 x 230V Sockets. The largest thing I run at the moment are my Klindex Levighetor 4.5HP and a 3000watt Wet Vac.

The good thing is because you got yours so cheap and you've sorted it you should be able to flog it for a profit and buy a slightly lighter one
