Re: Grinder vs Wetcutter
If you've lots of cuts to do then set up wet cutter. If its a quick cut or a shaped cut then a grinder is ideal. Just use a decent blade .

Re: Grinder vs Wetcutter
its simple , have both, i have 5 table wetsaws and a bridge cutter but i would be lost without the angle grinder fitted with a quality blade, its very versatile , great for plunge and shaped cuts, i use a makita fitted with a porc blade..

An angle grinder and decent blade wont break the bank and is always with my tool kit. Makita user here too.

I use a Norton Aerojet, got from screwfix for about £50, cuts through the likes of granite like butter.

Re: Grinder vs Wetcutter
I have a wet cutter but have just started to use a grinder as well.
It's certainly a lot easier if you've only got a few cuts than having to set up the wet one (and then clean it!)

It's the only bit that I don't enjoy about tiling - having to clean all of the kit. Although (reluctantly) I do make sure that it is cleaned at the end of each day.
At least with my plumbing jobs it's just a case of packing away a ton of tools
