Options are Rubi TI-66-S or the Rubi TS-60 Plus.
What would you choose and why, I'm not worried about weight, just need it to be a good all-rounder. Not fussed about single or twin rail, as long as it cuts and breaks well I'll get used to it.
Cheers people

I bought a hsuquarvana 670 from the a stand at the T&S show.
Quality piece of kit, and only 130 quid.

No reason really, but the amount of happy customers must be testament to the quality of there tools.
I have no reason not to pick another brand, as long as they are as good and have the same reputation.

The TS range is poor IMO.
I have a TS50+ in the van that i have not used in about a year. I used it for about 6 months before going back to my Sigma.
The TX range on the otherhand is great.
Is the TI the Sigma/Montolit copy? IF so, it will be good, but why not just go for one of those instead?

Re: Going to get a new Rubi, but which one?
Thanks for the suggestions guys. So do I go for the TX or TI. It would appear the TS is not what I am looking for. Are the Husky's better than Rubi, those that have used both?

Wouldn't like tosay as i have not seen the Rubi in the metal, but it operates in a similar way. The montolit you can adjust the breaker mechanism so you don't "crush" the tile. I don't know if the Rubi has this facility.....Dave?

Is that why you prefer the TX range then?

I too have a TS 50+ unused because it often chips the corner off when you break the tile. i only keep it for the occasional KEOPE .lol
I Once used a really nice sigma but it was so big, heavy and cumbersome to use that i decided not to get one. it did split some really tough tiles 'on the diamond' beautifully.

Re: Going to get a new Rubi, but which one?
I have changed my mind again, went for the RUBI and other bits from BuyBrandTools, just spent over £400 with them. Had to replace the Fein as well also a new Marcrist blade and some other bits.
I hope I got the right cutter!
Thanks Neil for the discount.

Which Rubi did you go for, Bobbin?

Re: Going to get a new Rubi, but which one?
RUBI TI 66 S mate, was looking at the Montolit, but I have used RUBI before and never had a problem with them. They spent along time developing this so I thought I would stick with them. Very nearly got the Montolit Masterpiuma, but ended up going for the RUBI as it was easier to get everything I needed from the same place.
I don't think there is a lot between them, just which brand you would rather have.
Also liked the fact the wheel is really easy to change, oh and it comes with a five year guarantee.

Just found this, not sure if anyone has seen it, click on "see video" under the pictures to watch the RUBI film, HD version if you want to download it. This is not a You Tube video either.
