Default mosaic trowel

which trowel would be best for mosaics is 5mm to thick a bed
any help appreciated

Any 3mm trowel will end up with a 2mm depth of adhesive on the wall if you keep your trowel at a correct angle of 45 degrees, this stops the adhesive oozing through the tiles

On a floor, the cement bed should be at least 4mm thick so use a 100% 6mm v shaped trowel angled at 45 degrees
