after working on site for a whole week now ive certainly known the importance of a radio, without it, nothing gets done

ive mostly relied on my crappy portable thing that only picks up radio 1 and classic fm :S but other workers have been providing music on their dewalt radios powered by their drill batteries, since i have a makita drill with spare batteries ive bought a makita bmr100 radio, and ill be running it off my drill batteries

just wondered what other use to listen to and whats your radio station of choice?

Never use a radio. Wouldn't hear it if it was on, and no I am not deaf! I just get so wrapped up in what I do, I just don't hear it!

A friend of mine is in the trade and they used to have a wind up one.
You turn the handle for so long and it would last so many hours. They listen to what ever they could pick up in the area but mainly radio 1 or talk sport.

Was good until someone turned the handle the wrong way a few times : (

oh and just as i was about to set off for college the radio arrived! i popped my drill battery into it and took it to college, had it on full whack in the workshop all day for all to enjoy and then did a spot of tiling in the evening till 7:30pm and then the battery died, guessin it will last longer as i wont be having it on full whack in someones house (bloody loud) so overall, im very impressed, the sound quality is very good, much better than i expected, highly recommended

the radios not that big really, 30cm hgh? 16cm wide, just the convenience that it runs off the drill batteries is good, get home and plonk it in the charger for 30 mins and its ready to go i was a bit put off by it not having DAB at first but then again i never listen to anything other than radio 1 now cos ive been brainwashed by their silly nonesense, tho i feel i may have to plug in my mp3 player from time to time as im sick of hearing the same rubbish music thats out at the moment, that bloomin warwick avenue song, i hate that with a passion, and that basshunter song "when your gone"
