Default Profile gauges.

Just wonderd if anyone uses profile gauges and if not what technique's you all use for finding your cuts around toilets etc. We must all have our own little tricks.

I find the best method is using paper templates.

I've only ever duplicated the shape I need directly on to the tile by hand/eye and then take off a few mm less than what I need and then use the carpenters pencil/finger trick to copy the exact shape and then one final nipping session or wet cutter mission to finish it off. Setting outcomes in to play again here, i've never tried to leave myself a hard cut to cut and I think that saves loads of cutting time.

But I agree with Darren, those bloody profile guages can be a complete waste of time.

Haven't used a profile guage for tiles but I did use one for boxing in above a wardrobe with plasterboard to a curved ceiling, worked a treat

A bit expensive, but intriguing. How do you do that then?
