scribing is the only way for a perfect cut....a well cut scribe will look like the pan/pedestal is sat on the tiles

As I mentioned.....old vinyl flooring is great for making templates.........You turn up for jobs, and the old stuff is rolled up (If ya lucky) outside......you take it away. asked first of course.

Use the A4 paper but dont forget to do a bit of piano work with your fingers,

Hi newby here....
I have to do round an odd shaped pan this weekend, I am not sure what you guys are meaning by "scribe" are you leaving a gap to fill with grout ? Or should you put a silicon sealant around a pan ?

Rubi gauge every time. Toilet, find the last tiles before the toilet, use spacers. Mark the tile to toilet from last tile, then the same the other quarter.

I then use the gauge, if it only goes around so far, mark that on the toilet and gauge and transfer to the tile to be cut. Repeat from the other end and marry up the line.

I then undercut the tile, checking against the toilet. 9 times out of 10 it fits second trim. May not suit every one, but I like it.
