Default Warning Cheap Tools

A word of warning, this is the first time i have ever bought a cheap tool.................
Silverline angle grinder, i have cut round 8 floor tiles (4 a week) cutting round the grout so tiles can be removed and replaced. The motor blew and it wasen't even geting hot.

Off to the shop monday for a proper grinder after taking this toy back.

A few of the guys use silver line mixing paddles, you cant beat eibonstock paddles from germany and for grinders I'd be sticking with bosch, makita or hitachi.

I have a silverline mixing drill i bought it because i coulden't aford anything else at the time, but it has been good, its just worrying to think what you would do if it packed up in the middle of a job. All the power tools i have bought over the years normally give some kind of warning first, warn bearings (you can hear them and feel the play) or smell the motor or feel it getting warm, this thing just packed up.

I have makita 18v drill, makita 4.5"grinder,makita sander, makita elec drill, makita jigsaw, eibenstock mixing drill with 100mm dia paddle, fein multimaster etc etc so as you see i buy no crap at all,i'v seen too many machines give up early,no good when your trying to make good money, nearly all my tools are 110v for site work too plus its safer.

I don't normaly buy cheap tools this is the first and last time. I will have to go buy a makita grinder this week as i have an on going job on saturdays to cut out and repair floor tiles and the only time they can be done is saturday as forklifts are in use the rest of the week. I will be taking the silverline back and hopefully will get a replacement which will go on fleebay.
