| Tiling in an archway - Need Advice | | Evening Guys,
Just need abit of advice on a job which i'll be doing in a few weeks, basically the clients friend who has tiled in the past started to tile the bathroom but hasnt been able to finish it.
I have been called in to complete the job. Its basically 2 walls from the border upwards but there is a small archway feature over the sink which the client would like to keep........hopefully i've uploaded the photo's correctly for you to see.
Now, the tiles which the client has, have to be 400 mil by 300mil.........Maybe more......so i know i cant use them to tile inside the arch........what i'm thinking is to maybe tile the inner archway with mosiac? and put a silver trim around the edge of the arch.....
Anyhoooo, if you could take alook at the pics and let me know, please take a look at the cut around the edge of the windowsil........yes, i nearly cried too!
Thanks again! | | |

If you cut cardboard to size of your tiles, then place them on the wall mark the card on the back to the shape of the curve and transpose onto your tile. Once tiled you can bend and pin your plastic trim around the curve and mosaic will bed in up to it.....Gaz |

| Re: Tiling in an archway - Need Advice | | you say you cant use the tiles that you have to insert inside the edge and that you are going to use mosaics. could tou not cut slither/ piano keys of the tile and gradually form the internal curve? just a thought | | |

Mark as gaz says but the trim needs to go around inside or you wont get your finishes and put the trim around first then tile down onto it then the tiles dont slip
