Did this job recently and got knocked on the price - which didnt surprise me - one of those jobs where the only thing the customer didnt know was in fact how to do it!! Claimed one of my lines was out at the end and paid me £300 for the complete bathroom and floor - that was after I supplied adhesive and grout that he ran out off!!

Just wondered what people thought ?

Man this kinda **** worries me about setting out , ive jus started out on my own, i would be gutted after fitting a bathroom and floor for 300 quid , even worse you supplied materials, you mustve worked for nothing there. .

Get a SDS and chisel the lot off, go to bank get 3000 pennies and throw on his bathroom floor.

Christ really, think it looks excellent.

Only ting i saw and its an either or was the window sill. Would you follow the grout line in there or follow the brick effect pattern but hey as i say its an either or not wright or wrong.

Bloody idiots, i hate hearing things like that.

I must admint i do worry each job, even though i do a good job, whether people are going to try it on or not.

I did a job this week, sandstone, and the extra materials were £304, i did warn them 1st like, but i was worried he was gonna try and pick stuff up.

Got an email and she said they were over the moon and money on its way, no problem!

...and you would call this 'a good customer'? I dont think so - the guy was a prize pr**k and I should have followed my early instincts to get off the job when daddy pr**k and baby pr**k (his son) stood there each evening picking the work to bits and leaving me a room full of post its the next day!

Customers like this need exposing on boards like this - would just hate anyone else to walk right into his arms - especially when he advertised on here for a tiler!

For the record, plumber on the job said it was an excellent job and gave no cause for complaint - I add this as he obviously saw it in broad daylight in case any of the pictures aren't clear!

sorry this has happened to you..its the way it goes sometimes.Job looks really neat-i would be very happy with it.

How long have you been tiling and how long did the job take you?

If you are "new" they may have picked up on that and thought they would try it on with you...it sucks but you will/have learned from it

Can you get me the link to the post where they asked for a tiler on here..?..

Just curious to see that post mate..............I would have stood my ground though and demanded paying in full...from what i can see in those pics it looks ok to me to warrant payment...........
