Default How much would you charge??

Hello everyone,

I've just been pricing a job up and the guy wants the bottom 2 tiles replacing runnining around the bath..Because 4 of them have fell off...he now has a black bin liner there because everytime they bath it leaks through the kitchen ceiling..

How much would you charge to take the old tiles of and replace them? (B&Q Cheap white ones 150 x 150) I've told him it can only be a estimate because it may need plastering once they come off.

Any replies much appreciated.

Ps the bathroom is tiled upto the ceiling so i would have to be careful not to knock the 3rd row off..

Monty

Just around the bath mate, 1.6m x 0.3m = 0.5 m2 & 0.8m x 0.3 = 0.25 m2 so total = 0.75 m2.

I know its a very small job but he said he wants his kitchen tiling and his bathroom floor so it may lead to something better..

I had a similar job, recently, but it was diamond set. I said to the customer that there were too many variables so I could only price against a day rate. In the end it took 2 half days to remove tiles, allow the substrate to dry, prep, stick and grout and then blast the grout lines with Sealguard - job done!

As Clay says, it is all down to the area, I only had to do a couple of m2.

Good luck.

Thanks for reply captain,

I did say to him the estimate is going to be based on if the tiles come of ok and if the substrate is fine otherwise the price will go up.
