Default does this price sound about right???

just priced a 26m floor, its to boarded out with ply first and the tiled with 600x600 porcelain tiles, there is no problem areas from what i could see and should take me 3-4 days to finish i think (he says confidentley) i priced at £800 all in and got the job, nearly before i had finished speaking. does this sound about the right price, or was it to cheap. any comments from you guys an gals would be appreciated.
oh and as any one got any comments on those platinum tools trowels???

Think I'd go in around that too but I'm also new to pricing.
If mats come in at around £200 that gives you £180 - £200 a day. I know I'd be happy with that.
As for the platinum trowels - I really rate them.
Seem heavy and awkward when you first pick them up but the sharper ridges really help spreading the addy and you get better coverage and compression (they seem to use less addy as well but was told they use the same or a little more)

Phil, visit "ceramicsolutions.co.uk". They are based in Essex. They have a price list on their site. Good viewing for new tilers. Personally I think 800 is just a little bit on the low side, but then of course I don't know where you are in the country. Finish the job, then ask the customer what the other quotes were......then you will know for next time. If it was in London then my quote would have been about 950 (just under that psychological 1,000) Good luck.

£30 per sheet of wbp ply x 9 = £270 (INCLUDING FITTING)

£25m2 inc materials x 26 = £650 TOTAL= £920

This is just a rough guideline,as i have not actually seen the job for any unforseen problems.Hope this helps.

cheers chaps, just had a look at ceramic solutions, there price was £2119, makes mine sound cheap. up here in poynton , cheshire its a very wealthy area, but i dont think you would get many jobs,at those prices. though i think, i might try a higher price on the next estimate an see how it goes.

Not done many estimates as yet...i look at the job see how long it will take me and x it by day rate so 4 days x 150 = £600 Plus mats
