Default quarry tiles

Had a local lad near me who has just finished a tiling coures, ask me today how to clean quarry tiles, he laid some in a porch, his first job and he didnt no you had to seal them before you grouted them, and cant get grout of them!! any ideas, would cement away do it?

You can get an acid cleaner that removes the grout. Not 100% perfect but works to some degree.

You can get it from Topps. Pricey mind, and he will probably end up paying more for the stuff than he got paid for the job.

HG Limex is about the strongest you can get - try a test patch first, diluted as on label - wait for results then decrease dilution if necessary.
ALWAYS remember to clean with copious amounts of water afterwards - this is acid based -
Clean / change water - again and again and again - no residue to be left on tiles
