Default BAL White SPF Vs TOPPS White SPF

I've used BAL SPF White for a lot of large format porcelain jobs and it's great to work with, stays open in the bucket for hours.

I've only used Topps own White SPF once and that was on a quick floor, so I didn't notice how long it stayed open in the bucket.

Does anyone know from experience if the Topps SPF has a similar open time (bucket - not wall) to the BAL SPF???

I don't think the job I am quoting can stand 9 bags of BAL at £27 ea!

Cheers!

Hi 'Dad, you might want to either wait for Gaz @ bal to respond to this or drop him a PM. Even though he is no longer involved with Topps, he is such a good guy I'm sure he will not hesitate to give the info.

It lasts longer than Bal in the bucket by quite a bit.

I found that even if it starts to go off a little a quick whip up wiv the bucket trowel and its workable again and without losing its stick.

Thanks guys!

It's the bucket life I am after. Have an awkward room (and customer) coming up and will need some "play time" with the tiles.

Maybe best to stick to gold star then mate.

Another option is Ardex x7g plus.

Used this on the 800x 300 porcelain job i just done and it was great. Think it states 5 hrs bucket life on the packaging but its grout on dry in 8,and u can pik up for 13 quid a bag.
