Default nippers or not..?

Hi everyone,
I might be laying 11sqm of granite floor tile soon, this will be the first time i've layed granite.
I was just talking to someone about granite tiles and they told me that you can't use nippers on them for the awkward bits.
It might seem like a daft question, but is this true...?

You might get away with "tidying" little bits up where the wet cutter leaves bits but that is all. It is not "granular" like a pressed tile and it is a very hard substance.

And dont forget your diamond drills for the holes...

Floor tiles often need radiator pipes.
