| Re: bathroom job fussy customer | | Bad luck LM. Why did you tile around the toilet if it wasn't fixed in? Could you not have lifted it as bit and tiled under it. Also, If a customer hasn't bought enough tiles and it is his fault, he should be paying for them, not you.
Just get a funny feeling you will be chasing hard for your cash!

| Re: bathroom job fussy customer | | If the cutting is good around the bowl then all you need to do is lift and fill the void with rapid set. He sounds like a dodgy client to me. | | |

| Re: bathroom job fussy customer | | You should charge the guy for all the extra materials that you needed. I hate to see these people get away with shafting the working man | | |

| Re: bathroom job fussy customer | | if the toilet is fixed...then how is it your fault that it is on an angle, and how are you liable for paying half the tile cost...as you have only gone around what is already there..Mark. | Plastering & Tiling Solutions. |

| Re: bathroom job fussy customer | | I'm with Flodyboy and Wivers.Tell him straight its his fault the toilet wasn't fixed properly, you want the money for the job,the tiles you bought and £20 for the time it took you to fetch them.Insist on the money.
Turned up on Monday to the biggest house on a new estate to do bathroom and 2 en-suite floors,I asked what the other tradesmen were doing there as the house was finished the customers had told me.
2 guys from conservatory company because customer didn't like some of the finish and didn't think the roof was as high as he wanted, window fitters coming to re do silicone on all windows cause customer said the finish wasn't to there standard. All looked perfectly exceptable to me.
This really started to worry me as they kept telling me how precise they expect there finish on everything, fussy is not the word.
Well I have been there just over 2 days and they have done nothing but slag off all the other tradesmen, when I told them I was finished I was waiting for them to try and pull me up on stuff(nothing to pull me up on though from where I was standing)They told me they were delighted with the job and that I'd restored their faith in quality tradesmen.
They even made the window fitters come in to see my work then say to them they should take the same pride in their work that I do(I found that below the belt and made me feel embarrased)
Bottom line make sure the jobs great then they can't pull you up on anything,if they do try though stick to your guns and don't take any s**t! | | |
