I have found this site http://thebrentwoodtilingcompany.com/
they advertise their prices on line , I thought this would be handy for new tilers like myself.

p.s oh by the way its my birthday today, thought id get that in lol x

I would of though quoting prices even slightly like them in a lot of areas would get you zero work unless you are a company trying to look upmarket like they are, but a one person tiler, then you'd have problems without being in the trade for a long time.

there prices do seem a bit excessive imo,he had better be good at those prices.

I don't think there prices are excessive, i think are prices are wrong....How many of you can say you are earning £200 per day, my prices are getting close to this now.

Wow! My prices are about to go up. I bet they don't get the average job 'cos I can't see many of my customers paying their prices.

I just sealed the deal on a job where the customer is prepared to pay a day rate of £180 (labour only) but I only got it 'cos I charmed her good and proper.

See captainslow you can do it, if people say to me I'm to expensive i explain why my prices are more and i give them a business card and say give me a call when your tiling goes wrong or your not happy with it and i will come and put it right....I usually get a call a day or so later to go ahead with the job. No I'm not a big headed so and so, i just turn up for the appointment, on time and looking smart, clean shaven etc. And then i sell myself (not literally) when i have finished the customer thinks im the best tiler in the world.

thats about right for brentwood way, i know quite a few firms prices around this area. their are houses worth about 3 million within a few miles of here.
one local firm charges mid 50's and another charges 70's for stone.
the £50+ a meter (for stone) firm gets alot of work.
