Default Grout or Silicoln

Just finished an en-suite Bathroom floor and going back to grout today

It's only 3m2 and am not sure either to silicoln around edges or grout or just silicoln toilet and sink footprint.

Thanks Dougstar

Silicone around the edges (on timber floors especially) with one that is as near the same colour as the grout , because it will only crack at this point in time.....

If you fail to find a matching silicone, silicone down below surface of tile and skirts etc leaving 3mm depth to grout, then grout over the top with flexi applied to grout.....Gaz

Or grout first the apply a clear silicone so the grout colour still shows through, but I'd normally just silicone.
