Question A Salutory Tale

I have just been on holiday with some friends, one of them lives in Huntingdon area.
On the plane we got talking about bathroom renovations......they contacted various companies for quotes to instal bath,wc and washbasin, then tile walls and floor in a small 2.4 x 1.7 mtr bathroom.

They asked me how much did I think the highest quote was.........I didn't get even close to "Dolphin" ,........any guesses...........???

I nearly choked on the reply of............£13000.00

Unbelievable..........

I can supply the materials and the labour for an average bathroom at about 5k....Dolphin subcontract the work out to any old tom dick or harry,so a lot of the time you are paying out that sort of ridiculous amount of dosh and not knowing what sort of quality 'tradesmen' you are getting, christ knows how they get away with those prices,on 13k,you are paying roughly 2k for the salesman visit right away...

Dolphins Bathrooms, Mobens Kitchens and Sharps Bedrooms I think they are. All at the Ideal Homes Exhibitions. Very expensive. They have LOADS of bad feedback online look (down the page): Dolphins Bathrooms - Mobens Kitchens - Sharps Bedrooms
