Just bought the Plasplugs Mastertiler DWW180 from B&Q and got myself the marcrist blade cos i heard there so good...

Had a quick go in my shed on some old tiles. Very imprest.

Only thing is i cant help but think its to big for splashbacks and small smaller bathrooms under 20m2 which is where 95% of my work comes from.

Should i have got the smaller version with the 150mm blade or shall i use the machine on everything.

Not really got the money to invest in a decent smaller one

What do you think. have you got one ?????

No mate you have the right one. I use one all the time for domestic work, the footprint of the larger machine is not that much bigger that the smaller one and the extra power it provides will be handy.

ive got two, bigger plasplugs and a smaller worktop one.

Great for mosaics too but the bigger one covers a multitude of tiles so thats all that counts.

ahhh, so you can use it for mosics. didnt think it would cut though them, thought it would shatter it

tysfoot mate, the master tiler will cover you for near enough most jobs really, and it's a good price, but for smaller jobs I use the smallest Plasplug wetsaw, forgot the name, only £30 but it has done brilliantly for me, as some bathrooms are just too small to have the Master tiler in there "in my opinion"

Where as my small cutter can be easily moved over and over as Im working, it can fit down the side of the wall and toilet while moving things around, where you can't do this with a Master tiler, it's just little things like this that makes having a smaller wetcutter an advantage for the smaller jobs.

Though some people won't be bothered about this and might have the cutter outside or in another room etc etc.

My tiler swears blind by cheap equipment fitted with expensive quality diamond blades.

He can do most of his cuts with a small portable machine which he takes from job to job, takes little time to set up, and is slung in the back of the van.

Thats a 600mm x 300mm very hard porcelain tile. He's outside reducing dust and mess inside. And he puts sheets down on the carpets.
