Pricing is job dependent Howard. You wouldn't price a 3 m2 splash back on metre rate you would use a day rate. Big jobs are generally better priced at a m2 rate.

Difficult to assess for a business plan really. Would you be doing more splashbacks or bigger jobs. Maybe you would need to work out a how your work split would be and then avarage out the 2 types of prices on a monthly basis to arrive at a realistic income potential.

Yep, pricing can be tricky to start with.

You go look at a 20sqm bathroom, with one window and one door and 4 plain simple walls, and sanitary ware that can be moved very easily and you'd probably just price up your normal sqm rate plus materials.

Then you look at a 20sqm bathroom with 2 windows, 3 doorsways and 6 walls and can't easily remove anything to tile behind so everythings to be cut around and you possibly wouldn't charge just the same sqm rate.

Every job you look at has the possibility of needing to be priced differently.

Thanks for that info. How much might you charge for tanking and how many times does say the BAL kit last? Just wondering how much I would make on tanking.

Best Wishes
