Recommendations for next course?

Hi

I am looking at taking an extra course.
I have done the 4 week PTS and have a few jobs (small) under my belt.
What course would you next suggest?
One week maximum if possible.
Which would give me the most help with my tiling so far?
I was thinking along the lines of the extra floor module or are there better options?

Frogeye, the original course should have taught you enough about floors not to need to pay for it again, it did me. MAybe the optional stone course may be worth while but they covered that as well in the main 4 weeks. The course that interested me slightly was the Mosaic course in association with Bisazza. Vey specialised and probably a nice earner if you can find the custom.

Other thing I am seriously considering is plastering. Can't seem to find plasters in my area that do a "proper" job with regards to prep for tiling.

As grumps sez.. i would do a plastering course..it will be the best add on to tiling you can do.....You can then prep walls how you want them done....

Thanks Ed may take you up on the offer later in the year. I must admit to having trouble even floating the addy on to the wall nice and even!

Suffering from Lateral Epicondylitis at the mo so that doesn't help .

plastering is like riding a bike, you are wobbly for a while and you think your never gonna get the hang of it and then one day it just falls into place. to be honest grumps, for what you'll need to learn then it wont take long. floating out a bathroom will be a doddle, floor screeding upto the size of a living room is a doddle.

Diamond Plastering
Courses ranging from 1 week basics to aid and assist in your core skill ie Tiling, through to a full city and guilds qualification for those that wish to take it a step further

Thanks for all the replies - seems, as I found out to my cost, that a good plasterer is vital if you want a perfect finish.

I really don't fancy a plastering course to be honest - a great skill to have no doubt but it's not for me.

I was thinking more of the specialist courses - Bisazza Mosaics is probably a bit too advanced for my skill levels to be honest - but I might be tempted along a victorian tiling course. Are there any close to Brum?

Thats the problem - I'm not too sure whats on offer. If as you say the victorian flooring is beyond my abilities then I'm stuffed. I suppose I could always do a basic brick laying course as I do have a double garage to build

Finding a good bricky/builder seems as hard as finding a good plasterer - and thats where we came in.

Mind you how often would get asked for that, But they look stunning in a hallway.
