Last year i was asked to install some low voltage lights in the floor tiles. These lights were bought by the client and were the same thickness as the floor tile. Since then i have been asked a few more time for similar things, including a strip of lights in the walls and around skirting height. After all the info i found for the customer they then decided it was too expensive. I was quoting on fibre optic lights which you can get as a kit in all colours and even changing colours.
Has anyone found a cheaper source of lighting?

Good morning Sir Ramic. One of my clients included the smallest available 12 V Halogen spots from a DIY-market in the skirting tiles and indoor stair riser tiles for indirect light along the floor´s surface; not in the floor tiles. Is this an idea? Cheers Martin

Clients seem to want the lights inset and flush with the tile face.

I know these lights but, as you said, it is expensive as a) it is armoured, b) it is patented. Let your clients check my a.m. idea, it looks great and costs less, Martin

...and by the way: the bulbs are easy to chenge.
