Dont know many companies who employ tilers as most tilers are normally self employed or contracted onto jobs. Plus most good tilers will probably make more money going solo. If anyone was to offer such contract, would be looking for at least £25k minimum

I used to be a roofer for a company, was a foreman with contracts for maintenance on Homebase and MFI and was on £17000 per annum.
If you are employed by a company don't expect anywhere near £25000,they look at it as having to pay you holidays, vehicle, insurance and they still have to pay you when there short of work.
If there giving you £25000 they'll be wanting to charge you out at at least £40000.
I think you'll do well to get £20000 but I bet they'd want experienced guys for that.

I would want 25k plus aswell. But if you work hard on your own that figure + is easily acheivable within the year.

alot of companies arent taking on tilers much nowadays the is a shortage of work around the northwest and companies will certainly not take on people who havejust done a tiling course incase of cock ups

i was sub contracting for a firm they used to pay £10 per m2 on average the quick tilers used to earn roughly bout £500-£600 a week

we had a lad at my last firm who went on a tiling course only a 2 week one so the firm sent him on a site give him a full plot to tile ( ie kitchen bathroom ensuite) the site foreman went mad the whole lot had to be stripped off. not many firms are willing to take the risk
