Default Sales Calls

Does anyone else get bombarded with sales calls all day. I'm trying to stay polite but someone is going to get my fury soon.

I hate the way they come on so nice asking how you are hows the business going so on and so forth then when you tell them your not interested you get ok bye and the phone goes down.

I am sick to death of them does anyone know of a way to filter them.

Help would be appreciated.

Telephone preference service! Register with them online and the calls will dry up within a week or 2. http://www.tpsonline.org.uk

Thanks, Grumps I have signed up, I look forward to not being hassled day after day....customer street ( who I told I would not touch after other poor experiences of other tilers, at which they considered it a joke in their office to ring me at least 20 times in the next 30 mins using different people, what b*******.) and the one who pretends they are the police but turn out to be selling space in a publication, we live in hope.

GG is right about the TPS and organisations can get stiff fines if they carry on. Trouble is, as soon as you advertise somewhere new or accidently opt-in to allowing 'carefully selected info' to be sent it all starts again...

Always tick the box (or look for the box to tick) whenever you fill in your name, address or email / tel in anything.

Though check to make sure the box doesn't say 'tick this box to recieve other offers' as you only want to tick it if it says 'tick this box to NOT recieve...' - obvious you'd think but I recently entered a guiness competition where I stuck in about 26 cards to be drawn out of a hat and found I'd ticked 26 'please send me other offers' boxes - Damn Guiness and their ale!

I once filled in a form which said something like "if you do not wish to be excluded from receiving further offers then do not tick the box" WTF does that mean...
