HI guys Any suggestions in pricing kithchen back splashes per square metre? ceramic tiles walls ok. Cheers just starting out .

How long do you think it will take you and how much would you be happy with for that amount of time spent tiling?

ONe day I guesss £120 would be ok.What do u recon what would u charge?

If what you would charge as a day rate is £120 .. Then price it at a day rate.

If you charge by the Sq Metre (ie. £20 per sq mt) and the splashback is 5 sq mt then charge by day rate, if its 7sq mt then charge by the metre.

It doesnt matter what i charge, i am not doing the job. If thats what you are happy with then so be it. One point though, if you tell the client you are pricing for £120 a day and you finish early they may say something. I would just say to tile the agreed areas it will be £120. Dont mention time.

hello mate starting off of not starting off usually a normal sized kitchen bees around 3sq metres possibly 4 at times u wana b looking at £230 minimum inclusive of all grout adhesive and trims £120 is too cheap

i would charge about 160 depends on sockets etcjust remember that you will need to go back next day and grout,if you use tub gear.

I normally charge day rate for tiling and half a day rate for going back to grout plus materials. As Sir Ramic says though, don't mention time to the customer, just put it down as the price for the job.

I find a lot depnds on the tile size also. 3m2 at 200x200 is a lot quicker than 3m2 at 100x100. Need to bear that in mind when estimating how long the job will take.
