    Hi Ian mate....

I would just set out your tiles to suit the room....
Finish the ply half way under the door....and you will get carpet to tile trims from topps...ctd....or any diy store.......

i would only use powdered flexi adhesive on wood mate.just to be on the safe side.if that ready mix stuff ends up being crap it u that gets the bad name.

Gotta agree with DHceramics once again. Set room to suit tiles. Centring the loo with a tile is a good starting point but it doesnt always work. Every job is different. Finish half way in the door jamb.
2 part flexi adhesive always and never touch ready mixed floor adhesive.

Depends on the stuff you are talking about. Ardex 7001 is an SPF but designed especially for wooden floors.

Sir Ramic is probably on about stuff like Fastflex which has latex fluid.

Wasn't saying you were wrong mate, just pointing out to people viewing the forum that maybe don't know that Ardex do what BAL have done but in a slightly different way. Don't always need to have a separate latex fluid to do the same job. I have used it on my own kitchen floor and it is absolutely fine. It is way cheaper than fastflex too.

No problem Grumpy i wasnt thinking you that you were saying anything of the sort. Around these parts Ardex is rarely seen so i use what my stockist sells or what the client provides. Here its Larson, Bal, Biscem, Nicobond and a few more.
