Hi guys, just woundering what is the best thickness of backerboards for walls.

Hi John,
Just been looking at the same thing on the net and Hardi Backer boards are recomended @12mm on walls and 6 mm on floors

Check this site http://www.marmox.com they do a product called construction board and it pretty dam good stuff

I use that or no more ply mate. But the marmox is a top quality product and i would say its the best hybrid out there at the moment. Its not cheap but they have reduced the price to about £8 per board. So i will more than likely use it all the time now. easy to Fix and also helps keep the tiles warm even when under floor heating is not used
