Question Door Strips

hows it going

just thought id ask about door strips. I finished a job earlier in the week, bathroom floor 12mm ply and tiles, the customer supplied the door strip, but when i came to fit it realised the tiled surface was to high, so had to build up under the other surface so it fitted. Worked out in the end but just seemed a bit of a hassle.

Just wondered how u get round this problem, and also do other tilers put up there customers bathroom accessories e.g. mirrors, toilet roll holders to avoid them damaging your tiling.

John

Default Re: Door Strips

alright mate there are loads of different floor strips about gensis do a wide rage, schulter top quality and easy to fit and the tile clearence sell a very good strip for about £5 it will adjust up to 18mm. You just stick the bottom strip to floor and and click the top of the strip in place, but with these the fixing bead inside of the top part if off set from centre so it allows for a greater step and they also have a nice finish. screwfix used to sell them but no longer do.
