aparantly the excess moisture can cause staining up to the surface

That can happen with grey adhesives and lighter stones...you will have no probs with travertine.....some of the lighter stones you have to use rapid setting stone adhesives to reduce the wetting of the tile.....this applys to some tiles when grouting as well..you can get wetting of the tiles at the edges.....

Bal CTF3 is ideal for setting travertine on walls.. I also can't see why the dunlop will stain travertine either...light/translucent stones then maybe ...Did BAL say why?....

something to do with the extra moisture involved..?he said theres a chance of water staining but this should dry out.cheers all for the help...
