Measure where your inset border is going then just tile either side of this then put strips and border in after , this way you can make sure the strips etc are going to be flush with your tiling...use a flexi adhesive to stick the strips in.

Hello matey
if i do a job with a vertical border in the centre i just find the centre of the wall and measure out the width of the boreder and trim put up a vertical line and start from there with the tiles to one side put in the border etc' then tile the other half, shouldn't have any problems with the trim sticking
all the best Mike
