Default Floor Adhesive / Grout on Walls?

    Hello

I have a few tubs of Unibond Floor Tile Adhesive & Grout (B&Q - UniBond All In One Floor Adhesive & Grout Dual Surface Grey customer reviews - product reviews - read top consumer ratings) given by Gibbs & Dandy for the hassle getting my kitchen. Would this be usable on the (ceramic) wall tiles as well? It feels quite coarse to the touch, whereas I imagine the wall tile grout should feel smoother.

Only thinking of using it because I have two tubs (5m2 each) left and we're after a grey grout - saves buying more!

    Thanks in advance.

There is probably a sensible answer, but why is tubbed adhesive so frowned upon? For the general DIYer is it not better as the parts for mixture are measured correctly? I know it isn't a lot of money, but powdered stuff will cost me around £40 for the size of area to be tiled on the wall.

Not from B&Q, that was just for information. Got it free from Gibbs for the massive cockup they made with my kitchen - that's why I was hoping to use it. Can't get money back as didn't cost. Is Mapei also known as something else, by any chance?

Mapei is a make of tile adhesive a good one. My advice is change your adhesive and make it easier for yourself and you'll have peace of mind knowing that you have used a good adhesive and the job is going to last but if you decide to use your one come back on and let us know how you got on good luck

B&Q sell Mapei adhesive under the Buildfix banner, I think.
