Re: strange request
So this would be tiling directly onto exterior brickwork? Just making sure that I know what you mean.

Re: strange request
I dont see why not. As long as the prep is carried out and you use the correct materials.

my dad's house is tiled at the bottom all way round.about 600 mm high.it has been done 25 years ago and tiles are still on the wall. and we get a serious winters in czech republic.right now it is -22 degrees.so I think it should be ok...

Re: strange request
I did one last year... Had to put 10x16mm holes in the tile at every air-brick I tiled over!

Re: strange request
Seen it done with thin roof slates on the brickwork below the pebble dash just underneath the drip bead about 25 years ago sand/cement was used...could'nt understand why though unless it was a feature.

Re: strange request
Tiled a toilet and and service floor in 1 inch mosaics directly to wet screed. When I finally got inside with my gear the old man saw my level and told me " I dont think you'll be needing that today" had to think for a few seconds before realising what he was talking about.

Re: strange request
I had a call from a guy once asking if I could tile his bird house, he had divided it into little rooms and wanted the bathroom tiled but it was my mate in the pub, being funny.

Re: strange request
There's a mosque here in a place called Tøyen, not a purpose built one, converted apartment block in middle of neighbourhood that is covered in blue and white mosaics, looks awful. Not really tiled anything out of the norm, but due to conflicting personal tastes I have installed some truely hideous bathrooms, some people are stuck in the eighties, some people are hoping the seventies is coming back, and some people just haven't got a clue.
