on site today and my boss as told me that he has to let me go because its gone really quiet,which i understand,but has told me that ... -

hi and evening
on site today and my boss as told me that he has to let me go because its gone really quiet,which i understand,but has told me that it will pick up, and as soon as it does he will take me on again,so should i go find a job or bum around doing little jobs and wait for his phone call.....

I'm pleased to hear that he says it will pick up, he just didn't say when. Maybe he has the lottery numbers for tomorrow night as well.
You could be waiting for months for that phone call, if it ever comes. I would be straight out trying to find work if necessary

As bathfix bob said, start working for yourself, see if any help available from job centre, if work picks up from the old boss, you could always subby to him
