Default can i tile over a window board

    hi there.
i may have to tile a kitchen above the worktop. this involves going around the window and window board. the board only bearly stickes out past the wall as it is so the tile would be out past it. could i trim it back flush and tile over it or should i rip it out and bring it back up .
if so what should i bring it up with. sand and cement mix. im a bit concerned about it expanding and contracting and the tile adhesive failing

    thanks in avance

Your right about the movement in the sill board if you cut it back and tile it.
I find the best option is to cut it out, build it up with layers of plasterboard to the height of the full tile on the front face.
And don't forget to use those spare spacer pegs on the joint face

Rip it out and replace with plasterboard dot and dabbed or some hardie if you have any and stick down with some rapid adhesive..
