anyone got any ideas how to remove masking tape residue from an acrylic bath, some one told me WD40 but dont know how true that is, also anyone recommend any ... -

removing masking tape residue
anyone got any ideas how to remove masking tape residue from an acrylic bath, some one told me WD40 but dont know how true that is, also anyone recommend any other tape other than masking tape, anyone used frog tape ?

Loads of suggestions here. WD40 is one of them. Make sure whatever you use doesn't react with the acrylic and damage it.

masked it up, then taped bubble wrap on bath prior to tiling, but left tape on too long and need to get the goo off. why how do you protect a bath ?

Thought that you might have been taping the bath up before silicone.

Wonder Wipes by Everbuild work for me, but be sure to clean off residue from wipes off the bath and it is completely dry, as it will repel new silicon.

just a tip, next time use decorators masking tape, with low adhesion..........i got caught once, bugger to get the stuff off..

Maybe sticky stuff remover, as above not sure about use on acrylic bath though, I use it to remove sticky residue from mosaic protection film.

Low tack masking tape is what I use and have no problem...white spirit as already said.

Wd40 is good to remove silicone. And i used it remove sticky stuff left on my windscreen from my last taxdisc holder so i would reccomend.
