are these 12mm boards and do you mean the tiles are 1000mm by 300 or are they 100mm by 300

Re: Hardie Backer for 33cm x 100cm wall tiles around bath?
hi action, those board wil be strong enough yes
thereis no law on tanking but its a better installtion,i use it if im using plasterboard as plasterboard breaks down easilyt whwn damp and causes mould issues
backerboards do neither fo these if they get wet.....on a domestic shower if installed properly i dont think i need a tanking kit to be added to the backer board install
just my opinion

Re: Hardie Backer for 33cm x 100cm wall tiles around bath?
Hi Action
i use weber spf all the time and have never had a problem with it, i think its great addy and strong.
you can get screws for backer board from topps and they also sell a cutting tool. you can probably find them elsewhere aswell. i did a shop floor using the 12mm boards as we had to raise the floor and cut them with a hand grinder, depends on how many you got to cut, cut them outside though and with a mask on,so much dust.
