Discoloured tile
New to the forum so thanks for any advise given.
Yesterday my friend started tiling my bathroom, he told me he had tiled 100s of times but...... It was terrible so I pulled every tile off (only the one wall in a shower) I then put all the ceramic tiles in water to help remove adhesive but after soaking for the night the tiles have changed colour slightly. Will this dry out? Re tiled myself and it looks great!!!! I'm just wondering whether the colour will come back the 1 left in water look darker!!!! The adhesive was grey
Hope someone can help

Re: Discoloured tile
Welcome along to TF, any chance of a couple of pics and a bit more info on the type of tile (ceramic/porcelain/stone), colour of the tile and brand/type of adhesive used.

Re: Discoloured tile
The tile are British ceramic Henley bst13105. The adhesive is grey flexy top tiles. Unfortunately I don't have a picture at the moment. It looks slightly darker, they are a satin white pressed tile. Hope this helps.

Re: Discoloured tile
Is the biscuit on the rear of the tile a dark colour, ie, brown/orange? Sometimes staining can occur from the biscuit getting wet, I'd wait until they are fully dried out to see if that makes a difference.

Re: Discoloured tile
The biscuit is brown, I have a spare 1 in front of the fire to see what happens, the biscuit is turning back to normal but no sign of the front yet!
