It started last month for me and have been turning down a couple of jobs a week for peeps who want it done before christmas. Don't have a single working day to spare and all my other days are accounted for as Fiona is going back to work.....

Is this the first thread that mentions Xmas for 2011 and is it true we only have 76 days till Xmas Eve!

If you don't work weekends that's about 50 days of work.
No doubt that's just about enough time to fit everything in!

It started with me weeks ago now, I'm working on a mansion and fitting other jobs in around it.
3 days in mansion last week as I'm waiting on marble now and then tiled a bathroom on thu/fri.
All go at minute and 15 jobs in book to be all done by Christmas.
    16 by tomorrow possibly too.

I've had Mrs Daz moaning that she wants the en-suite finished before Xmas (I did start it Aug 2010, though - oops!).
I've only got a few weeks spare until Xmas so I'm in no hurry for the usual rush .

yeah a few!! i remember getting woke up early one morning by the ferry workers as the lorry was blocking the slipway so my mate jumed in the drivers seat of the lorry and swung it hard over to get on the ferry and the long overhang hit the snack van and nearly knocked it in the water, best of it was there was a woman in there at the time, i can still picture her face now

Dont think its at that stage.

I enjoy working & keep Contractors happy & have built up a reputation as a grafter if its impossible I bring in other guys, I do know my limits and go to Hollidays a year.

Sometimes it all comes in at once, just the way it is, sometimes your just ticking over.

When I run squads you get the occasional moan about the hours, but its always the same guy who asks for work when it goes quiet

Anyway thats me on Holliday as of tommorow night until a week on Tuesday, off to enjoy the dosh Ive earned, before I croak.

I think I am just about filling Feb 2012 pages, but I never count on jobs until I get my tools on them. I like to leave spaces beween big jobs, in case something interesting needs fitting in.
