Hi iam having a tilers forum night tonight trying to put right all of my basic tiling questions i should be but iam not 100% clear on . one question is would it be a crime to solid bed all floor tiles ? i normally use a solid bed trowel on all floor tiles and back skim the back of the tiles regardless of size of the tiles to get 100% coverage.

Good practice in my opinion..... I back skim all my floor tile's and quite a few of my wall tiles too.

Re: solid bed
It's the only way a floor tile should be installed, whether you need to back skim or not, you should always aim to get 100% coverage as Daz's picture shows.
