Hi,

I know they are loads of post relating to preparing floor, but I have a rather odd one.
My house is a 1940's semi , with wooden suspended floorboards.
I did the bathroom last year, which is located upstairs. I wanted to tile floor and walls. My dad's, who's got experience tiling , but in France, helped me do it. When I suggested added plywood on top the floorboards, as I had read on the forums, he instead bought some 22mm green chipboard to tile on top.
We screwed the floorboard properly to the joist, then screwed the chipboard on top, and used Mapei Buildfix super flexible adhesive to fix the tiles.
Now I have read all and nothing about tiling on chipboard, some say you can do it, other say no. But in most cases I read that the chipboard was the "main" floor, i.e that there was no floorboard underneath.
I now would like to tile the kitchen, which has the same suspended floor, and am wondering if I can just do the same ?
