Discuss Abrasive wheel training course. in the Tiling Forum at TilersForums; Has anyone been on one of theese courses or heard of them ive heard a few guys speking about them on sites just wondering about them...

    Has anyone been on one of theese courses or heard of them ive heard a few guys speking about them on sites just wondering about them

    i think its a course for using a grinder im hearing some sites now wont let you use one unless uve been on one of these abrasive wheel courses just to see if anyone else has heard of it

    i seen that one ill see if the other guys in my squad fancy it too before i book anything if i do go on it ill post up and let you no how it is wether its worth it or not

    go into a room when the agents not there and use it thats what we had to do the full morrisons we were on as my dust extractor took ages to come not ideal but better than leaving all the checks out

    I did this as part of my college course when I was 16, it basically goes through the different types of grinding discs eg/ green wheels and how you're supposed to 'inspect' a wheel before you use it and that they are self shapening etc.

    Also if you hold a wheel up and tap it with a wooden hammer handle you are supposed to know that if its sounds 'dead' its about to shatter in mid use.

    I have a certificate and everything.
