I be trying to get as much of the bitumen up as possible..
"Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes"

remove as much of it as poss
prime with sbr and neat cement mixed then tile with flexi adhesive(white)

Why your old enemy Travertine?
Which adhesive manufacturer do you prefer as most provide an invaluable technical 'bible' and usually all the fundamental substrates are considered.

Its a real dificult layout so if you use a slurry and that has to be tacky, how or when do you mark out? I use a lot of weber gear, the guy in the local shop says to prime with the acrylic primer then the sbf addy.sound right?
When i say bitumen on the floor i mean its not even a mm .its more just a ulra thin covering like paint.

Have you used a lot of natural stone in the past then? If your not confident then I would recommend spending a bit of time on here researching tiling with stone, it can really bite you in the backside if your not prepared.
If you are using Weber, I assume that you are getting it from the supplier in New Milton beginning with A? They will give very good advice on the products but just bare in mind that they are not tilers, the guys above are. Its well worth doing right![]()
