Ci matting installation
Hi folks
I am away to install 400x400 travertine tiles on 25mm ply with a ci matt. I am led to believe that I should stick the matt down with an s2 adhesive (keraquick grey with latex plus). And use an s1 White adhesive on top of mat (keraquick White mixed with water)? What's the best trowel size to use 4mm notched on bottom of mat and 10mm notched on top of mat? Should the dural wp tape be stuck down with the White addy to make sure no staining occurs. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If it isn't a Wetroom then no need to tape joints

Re: Ci matting installation
you need a 3mm trowel with ci, ideally on a backer board rather than ply, a S1C2 (single part rapid set) is addy I normally use.

Re: Ci matting installation
How is the ply fixed down? Has the ply been sealed? Is it WBP or marine grade?
You should be OK with an S1 adhesive to stick the mat down. Have you used natural stone before?

Re: Ci matting installation
As above, you also need to ensure you fill all the pockets in the ci (no voids)

Re: Ci matting installation
To add to the great advice above, make sure that you back butter each tile with adhesive before twisting it into the bed of adhesive. You need to make sure that you get 100% contact of adhesive under the tiles.

Re: Ci matting installation
Oh and make sure your Dural Ci matting is the new version CI+... DO NOT use the older version.
