i only wear them for grouting as the grout is not good for the skin. it may be advisable to wear them for mixing cement as that's damaging to the skin too. some tiles can be sharp when cut but that's just part of the job, gloves would just get in the way for any other tasks i.m.o.

I've found my hands have just got use to it but my arms and lips do react to some powdered adhesives.
Never ever worn gloves for anything and my hands have been in a lot of things over the years - oil, grease, petrol, paraffin, white sprit, cement, paint, cow poo, without any problems, but perhaps I have just been lucky. I know a lot of people's skin reacts badly to all sorts of chemicals.

i wear glovse for grouting, and when im doing floors, just thoughs latex throw away jobs.....

I always wear gloves when tiling and grouting. Compared to my other tiling mates, my hands are in great condition. i also find the gloves help to grip the tiles when positioning them if they are a bit wet.
I use a "Polyco Matrix F" like the ones on the link below:
Matrix F Grip? Gloves=
although there are other pairs available.
They make life a lot easier and cleaning my hands is certainly a lot easier at the end of the day.

i only wear them for using black grout
I never wear gloves, but sometimes when I feel a split/kin/heck coming I use a hemp barrier cream from Body Shop, superb stuff imo.
I wear latex gloves all day when tiling, had "contact dermatitis" a good few years ago & that is very itchy, annoying, sore

I like to wear latex all day, I do get some odd looks from customers on the first day but they soon get used to it![]()

Only wear gloves when using black grout. I use loads of the hemp moisturiser though and never have any problems....

Russell (Grumpygrouter) mentioned Gloves in a Bottle once and I got some, and it is good, kind of odd because it soaks in quickly and you don't feel the cream at all, but it does help against staining, under the fingernails, too. You are supposed to reapply it every 4 hours, which I tend to forget, but, yes, can recommend.

i pinged my latex gloves on once, and the customer had a look of horror on his face, till i told him he didn't have to bend over..![]()
