    Be quite interested to know how involved members get with their customers and design. So thought a poll was in order.

    hi rob,i give advice and ideas of different design ideas,really 9 times out of 10 the customer like to choose there own tiles but they do use my suggestions of layout etc and a lot of the time factor that into what borders/tiles they choose etc
    i never go to showrooms with customers however

    same as kilty for me, i spend enough time (unpaid) at clients houses looking at the job, i wouldn't want to go shopping with them too

    As above, offer advice and steer them to a particular shop who I know has a friendly approach..

    give advice on what would look nice, point them in the direction of tile shops i use, then let them go pick, i do offer trade discounts on the tiles, and i sort them out for them....pick them up ect..

    I like to guide customers as much as poss, I do offer a bespoke option, So long as they trust my judgment/ taste etc,
